PEAK HURRICANE SEASON IS UPON US IN FLORIDA
Hurricane season lasts about half the year, starting in June and stretching to the end of November, with the worst storms striking between mid-August and mid-October. September is historically the busiest month of the year.
We need to be ready. Here are TWO ways you can help during the lead-up to a storm:
- Assist a neighbor who may need help preparing for the storm.
- Help secure a designated area of the community (tennis courts, East and West pools, fountain).
If you are willing to help with one of those tasks, or if you will need assistance in securing your home prior to a storm, please contact Tom Stewart at 508-420-1540 or tpspatrick@gmail.com.

Unwelcome Visitors
Iguanas have been sighted!
Please Trim vegetation from your roof and the walls of your property.
In this warm weather there is a growing population of iguanas in our community.
They love the warmth of our roofs!
Iguanas are known to scratch, burrow, and even displace roof tiles as they move across roofs, which can lead to expensive damage and long-term wear. Their droppings also cause problems, including staining and contributing to potential health hazards.
Overgrown vegetation is one of the main reasons they are attracted to our properties, particularly branches and foliage that extend near and over roofs. This offers them easy access to our roofs and the roofs of our immediate neighbors.
In addition to the Iguana problem, insects and termites can inhabit vegetation and infest the wood of roofs and cracks in the walls.
We kindly ask you to survey your property and cut back any vegetation that extends near or over your roof and within four feet of the exterior walls. Walls can be damaged by plants attaching to structures. Vegetation constantly brushing the wall surface can damage the paint.
This action will help prevent iguanas and other creatures from easily accessing our roofs. For guidance, please refer to the L’Ambiance Rules and Regulations that state that any shrub or tree over 4 feet tall is to be at least 4 feet away from the structure. Please refer to page 17, Landscaping Standards of the Rules and Regulations — Exterior Specifications: Landscaping: Homeowners Lot.
Working together to manage the wildlife and protect our homes will benefit us all.
Thank you for cooperation.
